Mama always said, “When you get a present, be sure to write a thank-you note. It’s the right thing to do.”

Times have changed, but manners should not.

In lieu of forcing your children to write thank-you notes to their gift-givers, simply take a picture of your child holding the present (gift card, ugly sweater, Legos, whatever) and email the picture to the gift-giver. Or post it on Facebook.

Presto. Done.

A picture is worth a thousand words, right? Whew, no thank-you notes looming.

Manners? Check. Make Mama proud.

Just another helpful tip from Pesky Pippi. 🙂

What a super idea, great for my 2&4 yo and also great cause we live abroad…

Whew, no guilt!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this idea! My mom never taught me about thank you notes. We always just called the person & said thanks. That was enough, I guess. I learned the hard way when I offended my husband’s family after our wedding by not sending thank you notes. Ouch. All but 1 got over it. Glad to know I’m not the only one who has a hard time actually getting it done. Love this idea. Thanks so much! Visit me sometime at!

I think gifts should be acknowledge whether via a note, photo, email, call, anything. Even a thank-you text or thank-you Facebook post is fine.

I’m gonna visit you!
